TAX Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB), a joint initiative by the OECD and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will release a new retrospective report reflecting on 10 years of efforts to strengthen developing countries’ tax capacity, on Wednesday.
The report,Tax Inspectors Without Borders: 10 years of Hands-on Assistance in Developing Countries, will be presented during a side event at the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4), to be held in Sevilla, Spain, on Monday.
The report assesses the impactful collaboration that has taken place with developing countries, as well as the significant financial results, since TIWB launched its unique, innovative approach to providing technical, hands-on assistance in tax audit cases and tax crime investigations.
At the side event, TIWB will launch TIWB 2.0, a renewed vision for the decade ahead, which will focus greater attention on partnerships while scaling support through targeted capacity building, peer learning and stronger networks for sustainable tax systems.
